Description

1994 Skybox Nick Van Exel Basketball Card Lakers No. 356 - Mint condition, see photos. Nick Van Exel, affectionately known as "Nick the Quick," was one of the most electrifying and fearless point guards of the 1990s and early 2000s. Drafted 37th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1993, he quickly became a fan favorite for his lightning-fast crossover, clutch perimeter shooting, and high-arcing "moon ball" jumpers. Over a 13-season NBA career (1993–2006) with teams including the Lakers, Nuggets, and Mavericks, Van Exel averaged 14.4 points and 6.6 assists per game. He was an All-Star in 1998 and remains one of the most prolific three-point shooters of his era, once holding the Lakers' franchise record for most career triples. Beyond the stats, he was defined by his "anywhere, anytime" scoring mentality and his unique habit of shooting free throws from nearly a foot behind the foul line—a testament to the unorthodox flair that made him a staple of NBA highlight reels.
