Francis Xavier Hernandez, nicknamed "X-Man," was a right-handed relief pitcher in Major League Baseball for 10 seasons. His .career spanned from 1989 to 1998, during which he played for the Toronto Blue Jays, Houston Astros, New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds, and Texas Rangers. Hernandez was primarily known for his work out of the bullpen, appearing in 463 career games. He compiled a career record of 40 wins and 35 losses, along with 35 saves, a 3.90 ERA, and 562 strikeouts. His most effective season came in 1992 with the Astros, where he posted an impressive 9-1 record with a 2.11 ERA over 77 appearances.
