Ancient Greece Coin 325 - 300 BC Pamphylia Helmeted Head of Athens in Very Rare in Fair Condition See Photos ... This Ancient Greek Bronze AE Coin hails from the city of Side in Pamphylia, dating to approximately 325–300 BC. The obverse prominently features the helmeted head of Athena facing right, adorned in a crested Corinthian helmet—a classic symbol of the city's patron goddess and its strategic military importance along the southern coast of modern-day Turkey. The reverse typically depicts a pomegranate, the "canting symbol" of Side (the city's name literally translated to pomegranate in the local Sidetal dialect). While this specimen is in Fair condition with significant surface wear and a dark, heavy patina, its historical significance as a "Very Rare" variant remains high for collectors focusing on the transitional Hellenistic period of the Pamphylian region.
