Brass Magnolia Painting Signed by Artist, M. Neville (1932-2024) ... Wonderful floral art piece, sophisticated home decor in Excellent Condition, framed See Photos - Measures 43" W x 33 1/2" H ... This elegant watercolor and gouache still life, titled Magnolias in a Brass Bowl, is a masterful study of light, texture, and bold color contrast. The composition features creamy white magnolia blossoms nestled among rich, waxy green leaves, all resting in a reflective brass vessel that gleams with golden highlights. The artist’s technical skill is particularly evident in the intricate rendering of the lace-trimmed white tablecloth, where delicate shadows create a sense of tactile realism. Set against a vibrant, saturated terracotta background, the cool tones of the flora and the warmth of the metal create a sophisticated visual balance. Signed and dated by the artist in the lower right, the piece is professionally matted and framed in a burnished gold-tone frame, making it a classic example of refined botanical art.
