Carlton Fisk Baseball Card 1983 Topps No. 20 - Axiom Grade Excellent 6 to Near Mint Condition See Photos ... Carlton Fisk, affectionately known as "Pudge," was a revered Hall of Fame catcher whose incredible durability and fiery leadership defined a remarkable 24-year career in Major League Baseball. He began his journey with the Boston Red Sox, where he was unanimously voted the 1972 AL Rookie of the Year and became an instant icon. Fisk is forever immortalized in baseball lore for his dramatic, game-winning home run in the 12th inning of Game 6 of the 1975 World Series, famously waving the ball fair as it sailed over the Green Monster. After a celebrated tenure in Boston, he continued his stellar career with the Chicago White Sox, ultimately setting what was then the record for most games played as a catcher. An 11-time All-Star, Fisk was respected for his power at the plate and his intense command of the game from behind it, earning his well-deserved induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000.
