George Brett Baseball Card 1991 Fleer No. 552 - Mint condition, see photos. George Brett is one of the most tenacious and decorated hitters in baseball history, and the undisputed icon of the Kansas City Royals, the only franchise he played for in his 21-year (1973-1993) career. A 13-time All-Star and first-ballot Hall of Famer, Brett's fiery competitiveness was matched by his extraordinary consistency at the plate. He is the only player in MLB history to win a batting title in three different decades (1976, 1980, and 1990). His legendary 1980 season, in which he won the AL MVP, saw him make a serious run at batting .400, ultimately finishing at .390. Brett led the Royals to their first World Series championship in 1985 and retired as one of only five players in history to accumulate over 3,000 hits (3,154) and 300 home runs (317) while maintaining a career batting average over .300.
