Jalen Rose NBA Basketball Card 2000 Fleer No 98 in Excellent Mint condition, see photos. Jalen Rose was a smooth, versatile, and highly intelligent lefty playmaker who carved out a distinct 13-year NBA legacy as a quintessential "point forward." After capitalizing on his national fame as a prominent member of the University of Michigan’s legendary "Fab Five," Rose was selected 13th overall in the 1994 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets. Standing a rangy 6 feet 8 inches, he possessed unique court vision and ball-handling skills for his size, but it was his move to the Indiana Pacers in 1996 that truly unlocked his pro potential. Under the guidance of head coach Larry Bird, Rose transitioned from a backup guard to a lethal starting small forward, culminating in a spectacular 1999–2000 campaign where he won the NBA Most Improved Player Award and surpassed Reggie Miller as the Pacers' leading scorer. That same year, he anchored Indiana's run to the 2000 NBA Finals, elevating his game on the grandest stage by averaging 25.0 points per game in a fierce six-game battle against the Los Angeles Lakers. Rose later brought his elite shot-creation and veteran savvy to franchises like the Chicago Bulls—where he averaged a career-high 22.1 points per game in 2002–03—the Toronto Raptors, the New York Knicks, and the Phoenix Suns. He retired in 2007 with over 13,000 career points, a reputation as an exceptionally clutch performer, and a seamless transition into a prominent media career that kept his sharp basketball mind in the national spotlight.
