Sea Creatures Painting Ink and Gouache Signed by Artist M. Neville (1932-2024) - Beautiful Aquatic Home or Office Decor in Excellent Condition, minor wear on frame, See Photos - Measures 40 1/2 " W x 33" H ... This striking underwater scene, rendered in a sophisticated blend of ink and gouache, captures the dynamic energy of the deep sea through a vibrant, layered technique. The focal point of the composition is a masterfully detailed billfish—likely a swordfish or marlin—executed with sharp, calligraphic ink lines that define its powerful silhouette against a stippled, cerulean background. The artist’s use of gouache provides an opaque, velvety texture that allows for brilliant highlights on the smaller schooling fish and the ethereal, bioluminescent quality of the jellyfish drifting above. Signed by the artist in the lower right, the piece balances a fine-art illustrative style with a sense of atmospheric depth, utilizing splattered ink and color gradients to simulate the movement of water and light.
