Steve Largent is widely regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history, spending his entire 14-season career (1976–1989) with the Seattle Seahawks. Despite being a fourth-round draft pick by the Houston Oilers and nearly being cut before ever playing a regular-season game, Largent was traded to the expansion Seahawks for an eighth-round pick—a move often cited as one of the best in franchise history. Known for his exceptional route-running and sure hands rather than raw speed, he retired holding all major NFL receiving records: 819 receptions, 13,089 receiving yards, and 100 touchdowns.
