Rogelio "Roger" Moret, a tall, left-handed pitcher, played one season for the Atlanta Braves in 1976. Acquired from the Boston Red Sox in an offseason trade following the 1975 World Series, Moret was brought in to help the Braves' starting rotation. However, his tenure in Atlanta marked a difficult turn in his career. He appeared in 27 games for the Braves, starting 12 of them, but struggled to find the success he had in Boston. He finished his lone season with Atlanta posting a 3-5 win-loss record, a 5.00 ERA, and 30 strikeouts over 77.1 innings pitched. That December, the Braves traded Moret to the Texas Rangers as part of a multi-player deal.
