He played for a variety of teams, including the Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, and St. Louis Cardinals. Jackson was instrumental in the Royals' 1985 World Series victory, and he also earned a championship ring with the Reds in 1990.
