Dion Glover entered the NBA with considerable promise as a powerful, athletic 6'5" shooting guard out of Georgia Tech. Recognized early on as a premier talent, he earned McDonald’s All-American honors and was named Mr. Georgia Basketball in 1997 before staying local to play for the Yellow Jackets. Selected 20th overall by his hometown Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the 1999 NBA draft, Glover spent the majority of his six-year NBA career in Atlanta. He carved out a role as a heavy-bodied, aggressive perimeter player, peaking during the 2003–04 season when he averaged a career-high 10.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. Following his tenure with the Hawks, Glover had brief stints with the Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs, concluding his 294-game NBA career with averages of 8.2 points and 3.1 rebounds. He later extended his basketball journey globally, playing professionally in Turkey, Lebanon, and Venezuela, before transitioning into coaching in the NBA G League and winning an inaugural BIG3 championship with team "Trilogy.
