Cecil Randolph "Randy" Hundley Jr. is a former Major League Baseball catcher who played from 1964 to 1977. He is most recognized for his time as the starting catcher for the Chicago Cubs for eight seasons, where he was considered a team leader. Hundley was known for his defensive prowess, earning a Gold Glove Award in 1967 and being selected as an All-Star in 1969. He broke records for most games played by a rookie catcher and most home runs by a rookie catcher in 1966. Hundley's heavy workload behind the plate, including setting a major league record with 160 games caught in 1968, eventually took a toll on his body. After his playing career, Hundley originated the concept of baseball fantasy camps for adults, which he continues to operate. His son, Todd Hundley, also had a career as an MLB catcher.
